Title: Fitting a hard top to a CJ7
Post by: H1HU on November 18, 2012, 01:04:12 PM
I am going to fit a hard top to my CJ7. I have a new seal set for fitting a new windshield first. The seal set came with a seal for the hard top to the top of the windshield. I could do with seeing a picture of how and exactly where this piece of tubular rubber is fitted and how? Or am I best just using a self adhesive rubber seal strip and if so where should it be fixed to the hard top windshield channel?

I have read on other forums that a seal isn't necessary other than to protect paint work.

Any suggestions welcome.

The tubular rubber goes in the hard top where it sits on to the screen.  If you don't get pics before Dec 6th i'll send you some as my hard top is just propped up in the back of the garage, where it's been this last four years  :icon_winkle:  My pictures may therefore contain a few cobwebs lol

Dec 6th is when I get home to France for chrimbo.
