Title: windscreen washer motor
Post by: TaffyBoy on December 07, 2012, 04:16:01 PM
HI
My jeep GC 2.7 crd has a problem with lack of pressure when operating the front washer screen. I suspect the motor is failing. My question is, is there a seperate motor for the front and rear screen washer, because there is no loss of pressure to the rear screen washer.

Yes there are two motors one for the front and one for the rear both fitted to the same bottle.

Check you havent got a split pipe feeding the front washers first.

I have some used motors off a breaker if you need one

also have a go at pulling the motor - the filter part may be clogged

Thanks for the advice guys.
I got it sorted. Nothing more sinister than a squeezed inch or two of water pipe. Cut it off and reconnected. Working like a well pressurised car wash now :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin:
Havn't gota clue how it got in that state though.
