Title: Waterproofing a ZJ?
Post by: Jamie Read on December 21, 2012, 02:11:29 PM
Having a little bit of fun wading a big puddle (about 18" deep) in the garden and stuff got wet, volt gage dropped to 0, squealing belt, blah blah.
Anyway, can I spray the alternator, battery and any connections with clear waxoyl or something to prevent or reduce this sort of thing happening?

The zj is well proofed as it comes so I've found.  :003: :003:
some of the zj throttle postion sensors can be iffy due not having an o ring steal
but a new stealer part one will have but that's 60 beer tokens.
Vaseline and rubber gloves can be use but i never have  :icon_super: :icon_super:

other may comment

Apparently vaseline and latex don't mix and can result in unwanted pregnancies  :icon_twisted:
