looking at a 2006 kj 2.8 limited and have been advised that one of the wheel sensors for Tyre pressure levels is faulty, want to use this as bargaining tool on price, anyone had to replace one and know of total cost,im led to believe Tyre off to fit, plus new sensor etc, etc.
cheers

Are you sure it doesn't just need reseting? No bigiiiiiiiiiie!!
-
Sounds like it was corroded, owner broke it off trying to unscrew! I believe tyre place fitted standard valve, hence fault message

It is worth looking on www.lostjeeps.com (http://www.lostjeeps.com) / www.lostkjs.com (http://www.lostkjs.com) since I recall similar questions being asked. It might even be possible to disable the system.

About a hundred quid at a guess.
-
Not sure if it can be disabled but MOPAR (£50+) and after market sensors can be had from around £42 on ebay. There seem to be a couple of different designs from the pics. Didn't look into it any more than that.

disable them and check for yourself, sorted
