Hi,
Ive looked but cannot seem to find a drawing that relates to the dimensions, bracketry etc of a radiator for a 4ltr 2001 tj.
the idea is so that i can send it off to have one made whilst still using the jeep as a daily!
Does anyone have one laying around? :icon_winkle:
Regards
Paul

Only a breakers I would say.
-
Cheers :icon_winkle:
if i have to get a 2nd rad then thats something i will do but i mistakenly thought that a cad drawing or something must be available.
Never mind plan 2 it is then.

I have one in the shed, came off my 98 as it leaks a bit but is still useable, on a 250 mile road trip there was coolant in the bottle so only a slight leak. Nissens make one for the 4.0L.
-
Mine only has a slight leak but is becoming a pain.
Bought a mishimoto one as they claimed it was a direct fit for both LHD and RHD - guess what? Steering knuckle got in the way of bracket.
Jeep want nigh on £900 for one so they can swivle!
A rad company either need the rad to copy or dimensions, even a cardboard template!
Where abouts are you gordy? I assume that its the same spec as a 2001!

I'm in Ipswich, have you tried contacting Nissens?, got mine from them via local rad dealer, paid about 280 I think.
-
I havnt but I will- silly question but do you just ask for wrangler one?
-
Yup, ask for 4 litre, right hand drive if your rig is RHD!, had mine in 18 months, no problems at all.
-
Lol brilliant. Cheers

I got one for my TJ from Viking Radiators in Harrow 02084 276 400, delivered same day :greggmo:
Was around the £200 mark

I got a Nissens 12 months ago from my local car shop for £190.
If you want one made this should be to scale and may help...
Pic's from ebay £192 delivered. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissens-Radiator-for-JEEP-WRANGLER (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissens-Radiator-for-JEEP-WRANGLER-92-R-61015-/310454289299?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3AJeep|Model%3AWrangler&hash=item4848848393)
If you replace your hoses I think the RHD upper hose is discontinued. LHD hose fits and is best with an inch or so trimmed off the rad end.

Thanks very much.
I was reading this post the other day on the iphone and read it as Nissan- thats why i questioned about just walking in and asking for a wrangler one- 'daft prick' :icon_biggrin:
I believe that my garage guys have come up trumps with having borrowing a rad from europarts and are sending it up to get copied so i possibly dont need the drawings- much obliged anyway.
