Title: TJ seat wiring
Post by: philthy on January 13, 2013, 10:13:20 AM
HI

I have aquired a nice WJ interior and have fitted the front two leather seats onto my TJ rails, anyway they slide back and fore fine just wondered if anyone else had done this and have wired up the recline/lumber facilty.

Im guessing running a fused wire straight from battery to seat would work?

any thoughts folk?

thanks in advance - Phil

Well one has to ask WHY!! Doesn't at first glance appear to be a good idea, whats your logic for this?

Looks like theres two types of leccy seat. Simpler one has 12V (20A fuse) and earth to the seat switch to power seat position motors, the other has a seat control module and looks a bit more complicated as it also ties in to the door module for seat memory positions. Lumbar switches share the same 12V as the seat motors. No reason they can't be wired in.
