Title: TJ Rear Fog Light

With an mot looming, I decided to do some simple checks, and noticed the fog light was not working.

Put a new fuse in and it blows straight away.

Took the bulb out and used a meter to check there was no open circuit.

With the bulb out, the fuse is fine, although I did notice there is no voltage at the lamp.  Place a new bulb in and the fuse blows.

Any ideas?

Erm, no, that don't make sense!

With the bulb out, it should still blow the fuse if there was a short before the bulb, if the short was after the bulb, it shouldn't matter!

Wrong size fuse ??? also try a different bulb !

Rewired the fog light and used a new bulb.

It seems to work now.

Just hope it lasts for the mot!
