Post by: STUARTF on January 18, 2013, 06:42:45 PM
Hi All
On the WJ when returning from low gear to high gear on the auto box do you still need to reverse to take the hubs out.

Cheers for advice, as with other jeeps its always been discussed to reverse a few yards. When putting auto box into 4low obviously there is a completely different set up as it will go anywhere ive pointed it in. Normal 4hi is a different kettle of fish with tail happy being the name of the game
Can someone verify that the drive chain in 4low is louder than 4hi

sounds like the coupler isn't working right, you need to see what the fluid is like in the transfer case.
if its red then its atf which doesn't go in the 4hi-n-4lo case. you need petronus arbor mtf 10w-30 from the dealers
its oil used in heavy plant/tractors
