Title: TJ Tie rod
Post by: jeepey on March 13, 2006, 08:40:51 AM
Good Morning,

I went off roading at the weekend at Tong (pics to follow), and I bent my tierod (long tube at the bottom that keeps wheels aligned)
Where is the best place to buy a replacement more heavy duty one?
Cheers,
Andy

I'd go along with that.   Why spend any more money than you have to?

Thanks for the replys guys,
I'll see how well its bends back into shape before i go and buy a new one, but i will need to find a sleve for it, or it will be weaker from bending back into shape.

the only way you ould weeken it in the straightening proses would be to heat it up. if you just bend it back it shouldnt loose much strength. i do like the sound of the sleeve idea. 8)
