Title: CJ brakes
Post by: Carlos Fandango on February 17, 2013, 07:02:39 PM
A friend has a CJ he is rebuilding, its been standing a while during the repair work under a carport.
He has refurbed the front calipers and has come to bleed the brakes, the front are fine but he cant get any fluid to the rear, other than a sqished brake pipe my suggestion, which he reckons are ok he was wondering if it could be the proportioning valve, what ever that is or does?

Any ideas  :017:

If the pedal is working on. The front then connect front pipes to rears to asses the function of rear brakes if OK then Tis the prop valve.....

sized cylinders     undo bleeds to see if you get fluid flow  if there is none undo the single flexi if still none go up to proprtining valve
