Title: Thinking of selling
Post by: philthy on March 09, 2013, 09:22:38 AM
Hi folks, was wondering what wrangler tj values are now, I have a black 4.0 tj with 90k miles, its pretty immaculate with flare extensions and 31's. has t bar and gc leather interior. Also has a best op sunrider top. Well serviced etc. I am thinking of letting her go to make way for a new toy and thought I would ask advice on values! I though between two and a half and three but perhaps I'm optimistic. Also have a 2" budget boost ready to fit. And I'm in Scotland near inverness

Thanks

I would have thought that was fair, how does that compare on autotrader / pistonheads & the like

The way the market is and an abundance of Jeeps available you'd be good to get £2.5k max

The Jeep look immaculate...

Depends on the year, I would think you can look more towards the £5k mark, as majority of the TJs on autotrader is around £5k and higher..

TJ's for 5k will be on there for months. Seeing as they have Mickys on it, I'm assuming its had a re-gear?

I would be very happy with that sort of money! I dont actuallty know for sure if has been re-geared but it drives perfectly with no gearing issues in any gear upto say 75 ish. so must have.. It has red/white shocks too think they are rancho ones. I beleve G force may have done all the bits a while back including the 4" flares, its pretty mint except rust spots on front wing tops. could the wheels be copies ? i have no idea or recepits, the roof is mint too.

2 years ago when I was looking for a TJ, I struggle to find a reasonable 1 for £5k, every time 1 pop up on the net, its was sold by the time I called.

Agree 5k too high, but they seem steady around the 3-3.5K mark.I would have thought on 31s it would not need any regearing Rich
