I've been pondering the idea of changing the interior of my XJ for leather. Does anyone know if it's straightforward, and are the leather seats electric, and if so, is there likely to be a power feed already in place?
Thanks

From other people's reported experiences,
Yes, yes and yes.

I might be interested in a swap if you have manual seats. My interior is light grey leather from 98 XJ limited, not A1 condition but not bad, rear is very good fronts ok, all working electrics. PM me if you're interested

For leather you really need to touch base (be careful though) with the infamous "KY" crew.

Craig, the other XJ at Daves i think is leather will have a look later this week .

It is easy to do - if you don't get sold a 93 set of leather seats by somebody that knows that they don't fit - this is what happened with my first set - so had to drill the floor and bolt through.
Electric pick up for the seats will be available under the carpet - though it just needs a ve+ to get them to work as they are self comtained.

mk1 and mk2 seats have different floor fixtures. rear seat will be a straight swap. feed is under the carpet from the passenger side.

I could be wrong Dave, but I have a feeling it was actually in 1993 or 1994 that the floor fixtures changed... I'll look it up to check if that's right in a bit! 8-)
