Doing a full service on the brakes soon and noticed the discs might as well be changed too. I've heard that there are a few different dimensions and I know I could measure them but its pissing it down, do the following dims sound correct for a 97 TJ.
Height: 81,5 mm, Brake Disc Type: Internally Vented, Br. Disc Thickness: 24.0 mm, Min. thickness: 22,7 mm, Outer Diameter: 280 mm, Num. of holes: 5, Centering Diameter: 72 mm

yeah that's bang on mate, spend away, and spend large :003:
-
Didn't Gaz have a problem where there was a change in the thickness due to a change from one year to another?
-
enuff of Gaz's personal problems, this is a serious tech thread :eusa_naughty:
-
I'm sure I've read the change was about year 2000..

No way! his hormone replacement therapy began about 2008 :003:

Think I got mine from USA Automotive Rich, was probably 18 months or so ago
-
i believe that the change was in 1999 or so - changed from composite to "one piece"?
My T reg jeep turned out to be the earlier composite type. (only needed to know for the hub type I think from memory.
I still have the discs in a pile by the shed - yours for free if you want them

There's a blog on FTE, Steve describes a TJ that came into his garage and someone had fitted the wrong discs..
