just dug the Jerbil the Mahindra SWB Jeep out of winter hibernation
new battery and tyres pressures and all is in order
But is it?
Not likely to pass another of those pesky MOTs that you have over in UK Jerbil seems destined to continue providing good service off road on the farm
But what are the options?
A rebody with a Jago GF body or Eagle equivalent?
Hand it over to a university to replace the body as part of their grade learnings?
Give it away for buttons?
Split? new Bestop hood tidy alloys and VG tyres
As the mechanicals are fine- continue to drive in fields etc until it no longer works?
It is clearly not worth my spending lots of money rebodying or sorting the rust.............
what should I do???
-
Fit hydraulic suspension and make it dance :icon_super:
-
If you split it first dibs on the bestop please
-
Drive it around the farm untill its minging :003:
-
Gift aid to myself :icon_super:
-
An even better idea gift aid it to me, Bubba already has one :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin:
-
But I am poorer than the average Ethiopian vagrant
-
i'm poorest i'm running a v8 NOT on gas.... plus right foot weighs about 50kgs
gimme instead???
-
As usual Jerbil the Jeep has been more than useful with logs trees and assorted rubbish from shed clear outs (in my 6x4) trailer
we even managed a spot of furniture moving!
see:
I reckon it will continue on doing great works on the farm
does anyone want to rebody it for say 2 weeks free highland holiday next year with fishing thrown in (worth c £1800)?? If I supply a new body?
see www.strathnoon.co.uk
-
What body
-
Jago Geep would be my first choice
-
O dear
How about repro body from jeeparts
-
:iagree: Turn it into a "low hood" with a new body :icon_twisted:
-
No body and a park bench would be better than a jago body

Oh hell yes!
-
O dear
How about repro body from jeeparts
just checked out Jeeparts
look just the thing!
thankyou £1200 buys a new tub- but then I have to find someone capable of fitting to the Jerbil!
(I wish they made parts for CJs though)
-
Hmmm
-
Sounds like an opportunity for a Bubba clan holiday?
-
Naa doubt I could aford the fuel there and back seriously and any hoo mrs bubba would hate a rural location
-
Inverness is a Capital city and only 20 miles 1/2 an hour away!
Capital of the Highlands...............
-
Corrieyarrick (or however the f#ck you spell it) Pass is right there and a lane to make all other seem crap and boring
-
Jerbil's final Harrah last summer
before Hal the black prince swap etc
-
and what is the plan now ?
-

I've got a fairly solid spare m38 body tub, had some welding done, it's not the prettiest but it's solid?
