Title: ZJ Rear wheel bearings

Gotta do the rear wheel bearings on the ZJ and I have seen a vid of the process which looks fairly simple apart from one little thing.
On the vid I saw it shows a wee plate dropping out into the diff housing after the hub is pushed in. What is that plate and where did it com from??? Any diagrams or more detailed videos would be great!

I think that plate would be the C clip that holds you half shaft in
