Anyone using them?
I'm sure they stress the axles a bit and maybe knock out wheel bearings quicker, but is it really any different from using wheels with less backspacing? Plus a decent set of spacers is about 100quid!
My problem is, i have 7" flares to put on my heap, and they look shite!
They come out to far, and thats why i ask about spacers to fill out the flares a bit more, thats the only reason.
I actually like the 3" of tyre that currently sticks out from the standard flares, but i think i'm asking for trouble sooner or later.
I should have got 6" flares
Anyone wanna swap 7" tj flares for a set of 6" tj flares?

Wheel spacers are fine, I've had Spidertrax 30mm fitted on my last two Jeeps, really well engineered, no bearing/axle problems.
-
I've got 10 mm shim type spacers all round, and longer wheels studs to compensate. They seem fine and the turning circle is improved too.
-
the scrambly and the gt run spidertrax no probs very very well made

I bought a set off Ebay unseen; turned out to be naff cast ones with stud extension bolts!
The studs on the TJ's rear axle accepted the extensions fine but the ones on the front axle would need shortening to allow the extensions to seat- hence not bothered to fit them.
Go solid!
Spacers seem to get bad press but it really adds no extra stress than heavily backspaced rims.

Trouble with quality solid spacers is they cost nearly as much as steel rims with the right backspacing!

no way i think mine were 130dollars or so a pair proper spider trax go have a look i only got them cus they way cheaper than expected have seen them over here for 300quid a pair in the past from robbers in the uk

Thanks for all your replys.
I had looked at spidertrax, but they seem to be out of stock.
I want between 25-30mm.
What do you think of either of these?
Both are solid, one is steel and the other is alloy!
