About to do the first DIY oil change on my 2009 WK 3.0 CRD .
Amazing array of oils and prices available. The Merc dealer used to use Mobil 1 as they could do it cheaper than the mopar recomended oil and it exceeded all the standards I'm told.
Do I continue using that ? Or do if with stuff that's supposed to be even better like amsoil European or do I save my dosh and go for say Fuchs Titan at half the dosh.
What's anyone sussed over the years ?
Cheers

It was cheaper to get my local Jeep specialist to service the WK than do it myself - not sure where you are but TCJ Services in Northampton is very good.

Tbh I'm starting to wonder about that. The old dealers did The oil change using Mobil 1 for £110 .
To buy 10 litres of Mobil 1 form the likes of opie who are very good is just under £100.
Strange old world.

I use Shell oils in all my vehicles. Just a personal choice as I only use Shell petrol/diesel also.

The last few times I have bought oil from Eurocarparts when they have a 30% discount offer with free oil filter. They are doing a 25% off engine oil at the moment but even at that there Shell prices are better than Opie oils and you have free deilvery.
I use Opie for gearbox and diff oils usually.
I can get Millers oil from work as we use this in the trucks ,and I use this in the Mrs 2.7 CRD , also a very good oil.
I am old school and change the oil every 6 months or 3000 miles.
