Title: 1997 TJ 2.5 Oxygen Sensor
Post by: Barron on August 20, 2013, 12:28:17 PM
Wrangler 1997 2.5 litre

Can anyone tell me if the Bosch oxygen sensor is a good replacement.

Seen Bosch part # 15705 and with import and postage from USA still only comes to £34.

I need to replace the sensor nearest the manifold (upstream as its called) and this seems to be a Bosch equivalent. Everywhere else it's around £60 upwards.

If someone could advise it would be very helpful.

Have you tried Jeep Lighthouse in Diss? They might have a cheaper alternative

I have used the Bosch universal sensors on my 4.0 zj and so far 2 weeks in they're working fine. I still have the fault codes but no misfire anymore.
