Title: Crankshaft position sensor 4.0 zg

Hi, I need a new crankshaft position sensor for my 98 GC, as luck would have it none of the dealers I phoned have one in stock and apparently they are on back order with chrysler and none in Italy either, so it could be a long wait for them to get one..
I keep reading to stick with the genuine mopar part for the sensor, but Crown and blue print pattern sensors seem to be widely available, are they really that inferior to the genuine part? Or I suppose I could order one from the US assuming it would fit? the part numbers are the same?

Crown is as good as OE. If you do not trust it ( I would) contact Kolak on the Jeep forum USA

Try Rockauto.com - they have a choice and you can pick a brand name you know or a cheap and cheerful one. It's all uk prices and includes delivery and taxes
