Title: PAS Fluid
Post by: darrenh on September 04, 2013, 06:18:50 PM
What pas fluid should I use in my 2000 WJ 4.7l, am I right in thinking it should be MS5931 and NOT ATF+4?

Its just that it's got a red coloured fluid in like ATF

Cheers,

Daz

Use ATF+4. That's a synthetic ATF, don't use Dexron.

Cheers for the replies, pretty confused now as everywhere you look it seems to be 50/50 on whether to use ATF+4 or not. It currently has red ATF in it and I'm changing the steering box on it, what is the easiest way to drain the rest of the ATF out?

Cheers,

undo the lowest pipe and wait or start the motor for a few seconds
