Morning,
Given the impending collection of the ifor williams trailer what is the best way to secure the XJ to the Trailer.
I have had cars on transporters before or trailers but generally had someone else present strapping it down.
I currently have 2no 7ton ratchet straps and 2no 5ton wheel straps.
Is it best to have the wheel straps on the same axle then the ratches at the other end of the car?
Wheels straps on different axles on opposite wheels??
Please advise??

Better with one on each corner, but I usually just use 2 on opposite corners.

:imwitstupid:
Go and get yourself two more of these for the other straps you have

Strap all our wheels down, maybe get a couple of new straps or just the wheel thingys. Damar straps on ebay are good, cheap and uk made.
Some people don't like the leaning of a flexy 4x4 on a high trailer - I've never been that bothered but you could use another strap to compress the suspension

Yes the 2new ones are DAMAR ones,
I think I will get 2 new wheel straps for the existing ratchet straps.
All 4 wheels it is.
Won't be worried about the feeling of body leaning, used to horses in trailer and the lorry.
Cheers Guys.

Sounds like a plan, I've only noticed a bit of lean once or twice and that's with quite a big lift and no sway bars on the XJ
