the US style plate sticks out too much and you will rip it off when froading so go motorcycle size plate and use the existing 4 holes  :icon_winkle:

Just secure plate straight onto 4 holes? What do you guys do for lighting on plate?

I have the US plate holder on mine and also switched to US rear lights, one of which has a clear lense in the bottom to light up the plate.

Wired the lights so the clear reverse light bit now has an amber bulb and works as indicator.  Then fitted a separate reverse light.

If you don't go to US spec lights you can cut a hole in the bottom of the existing light, then put some clear perspex over it - that should do the trick!

I have used the LED lights that double up as the mounting bolts, pull back the existing wires and splice in  :icon_winkle:

such as these-
