I have to confess that after 5oo miles of strait thru pipes I succumbed to a set of Thrush 17656 silencers, at low speed the burble with thru pipes was lovely, but at 70 mph on the m/way for a few hours :eusa_hand:

Yes but the chief is very noisy..my cj5 ain't half as bad as that. Only until you want to release the kracken..

Put the backbox back inside the frame where it should be! And put it back to a single pipe setup, it works and sounds better

That'll be the way i'm going. I doubt Freddie will be trashing round the bombholes at Tong, but even green lanes would rip that sh*t off.

It took one journey on the dual carriageway for my ears to get fed up with not having a silencer, and that was with a straight 6, not the probably louder V8!

Drove 5580 mile across the states in mine put it out the back
