Post by: darrenh on October 26, 2013, 08:05:27 AM
When i have the heater on warm and up onto the screen i get a small smell of coolant. Although the level in the bottle has hardly moved could it maybe the heater matrix weeping?

Thanks for the reply, it's definately a sweet coolant smell rather than screenwash though.

Might be the first signs of heater rad behind dash going.  I had it on my WJ 4.7 and when really cold it just pumped more steam onto the windscreen.  Ended up driving with both windows down in minus temps and no view out of the front.

Radweld cured it.
