Guys my ZJs drivers door console isn't working and my window is in the down position, I've had a look through the handbook but can't find a fuse listed to see if that's the issue. Can anyone tell me if/where it is?

usually a prob with the wires going from the door unit to the main loom though the door pillar. Broken wire syndrome...... Door card off and wriggle the wires around sometimes helps.
If it doesn't then now with door card off Tis time to hot wire to battery to get window up....
Its what I had to do...... Door will still lock but with key. temporary fix over the holiday period!
I got mine working with the wiggle of wires trick ......couldn't trace the prob any further.....
lasted 2 years...... Then a few months ago new owner......my bro inlaw had it fail again......being an electrician he tested everything and bought a new door module from the bay problem now fixed for good........ Cost about £20.
Hope that helps...... :icon_super:

:imwitstupid:
Had mine apart twice or thrice since had the zj spray some electrical solvent stuff when it's apart, not wd40 mind ya
I slung the little yellow lock tab on mine seemed to make it a right twat to go back together.
Now carry a set of torx and a Phillips with me at all times.

Thanks guys, currently got a tarp wrapped around the door as I can't arsed to do it today

Before you mess about with that, just disconnect the battery for a few seconds, the door module can get spiked by the central locking motor causing it to freeze.

Don't ya just love Jeep eletrickeries. :banghead: all my drivers seat controls work with the door open, apart from forward, close the door and forward works. :lol_hitting:

Thanks for that, will give it a try. Thought about doing that earlier but got frustrated not being able to find a fuse

Mine does it every now and again. 1st time stripped door down removed and checked all connections, put back together again, all OK. 2nd time listened to you guys disconnected battery and hey presto, back working again.
Do it every time now.

:iagree: Every time I had a glitch with mine, I tried that and it always worked..not too sure why, but it did!!

Disconnecting the battery done the trick ;)

The factory fix for this was into put a diode in the + wire to the door lock motor.
