Title: Electricity
Post by: wildwood on January 03, 2014, 06:40:51 PM
:icon_twisted: Here's one that you. Can thankfully laugh at.......

Last nice burnt the oil and completed all the brackets to chassis that will hold the cage on...... Turned round to grab the. Grinder to move it and flicked the extension to get out the way...

DARKNESS.........

after stumbling around with a torch....... Found the 30 amp circuit was OK the lights OK and then the sockets were not working......... So with lights on went to have a look......

Flicking the extension. Had actually flicked the extension and double socket ........wait for it......

Into a bucket of antifreeze that I had drained from the old rad..........l.

not good.........

Am now glad I spent large on the wiring for my workshop......

as I said up top something we can all now laugh about...... But it could have been a bit James Bond .....doctor No heater in the bath syndrome.........

Take care out there :hysterical:

After working in Switzerland on 9 and 10 March and recording a television special for the BBC on Saturday, 11 March 1978, he returned to his Paris apartment in order to appear, the next day, on "Les Rendez-vous du Dimanche" with TV host Michel Drucker. While taking a shower, he noticed a the light fixture wasn't straight on the wall, he tried to straighten it and was accidentally electrocuted.

Reminds me of a microwave in Africa, came in from a long flight and had to heat my tea left for me in the apartment, turned on the microwave and then for some reason touched the oven when it was on and got an almighty tingle. Later after switching off the power found the muperts hadn't installed the earth wire in the socket and thus the microwave used me as one instead. Certainly woke me out of my jetlag.
