Post by: nimrug on January 05, 2014, 11:11:19 PM
high all I have a 2005 Cherokee sport, I have a squeak in the front wheel, but when you touch the brake it goes, I haven't had time or the weather to look at it yet but what should I be looking for, and don't say a mouse..

Either crap stuck between pads & disc or a dragging caliper.

When you have driven it for 15 - 20 mins, feel the temperature of all of the wheels, not the discs !!!

If one is noticeably warmer then the caliper is probably sticking / dragging. If no noticeable temp difference its probably just crap / grit. Get a jet wash in there

Failing wheel bearing perhaps?
Jack up that corner and check for play.

My other car had those symptoms.
It was a warped disc that was rubbing.

My tj had those symptops, it was a sticky caliper.
