Just been watching that bleepin jeep guy on utube fit stock yj brake hoses to an xj for use with a lift kit, anybody done this? seems to make sense to me.
-
Yes, worked well for 2-3" lift I had for while.
-
I'm using YJ hoses on my TJ.
-
LLama do the extended brake lines for the XJ for about £90 delivered so I'm gonna see if they are cheaper from the factors.
-
The stock yj hoses are a bit more than the braided ones but I prefer the look for that bit extra cost so gonna buy those, heard they work with a 5 inch long arm kit so should be fine with my 3 inch.
-
They are never going to work with a 5" long arm kit, unless it's setup ridiculously badly. I maxed mine out with a 2.5-3" lift and standard RE flex arms.
-
You recon 3 inch with disconnects should be ok james?

Use a helper spring..

Should be, you can bend the little Z in the hard brakeline out to being straight for a bit extra if needed. I didn't change mine until I went much bigger.

Cheers, one last question, I found some on jeepey mart but they are non abs, what were yours?
-
Can't remember, sorry, was a long time ago.
