Title: TJ rims for an XJ
Post by: The Transporter on February 27, 2014, 11:52:43 AM
Would anyone happen to know if TJ steel rims are suitable to fit to an XJ... Stud pattern and the like... I have spotted some on the Bay and I need a spare wheel that don't look too far different from my five spoke Orvis wheels..

As far as I'm aware the bolt pattern changed when Chrysler came on the scene so I think you'd be OK.
Chrysler rims do not fit AMC flanges, that I'm sure of.
Well, not without some serious bodging, anyway!

Ha! Dave, next time I have the jack out I'll offer up one of my Lexus Wheels to the Jeep just for a look see.....

I've now got my hands on a 15 inch Ecco five spoke alloy rim which is a perfect match to what I already have..... Just need a part worn 31 x 10.5 R15 tyre now

Looking into brakes recently I found Lexus and Nissan have used the same bolt pattern but the centre bore is normally smaller.
