Title: Radio Install Help Needed
Post by: Mike2909 on March 15, 2014, 11:50:22 AM
We replaced 2 vehicles at work last week and I took out the radios to use for myself. The radios are Blaupunkt Calgary and both were working when I took them out.
I have been trying to get them to work in the Wrangler( as the Kenwood in the Wrangler is rubbish)but so far no luck, I can't even get them to switch on.
They have an iso connector with this connection on the other end. I thought I could connect the standard iso connector already in use in the Jeep directly to the radio and take off this middle bit.The iso connector in the Jeep fits into  the back of the Blaupunkt but I get nothing.
I have tested the connectors at the radio and I have power and earth but still nothing coming from the  radios.

Anyone any ideas please?

Sure have my man. I gave up after 3 hours trying every option possible. I tried both radios in the works Clio I drive and both started up straight away and all functioning. I decided to buy the Wrangler ISO  harness
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PC2-58-4-JEEP-Wrangler-1997-2005-Wiring-Harness-ISO-Adaptor-Lead-/350814060542?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Terminals_Cabling_ET&hash=item51ae25bffe
see if that does the trick.

That's what I eventually decided after wasting 3 hours of my Saturday :jump_125: . Nothing better than hindsight
