Morning Chaps,
Right, the 245 / 75 17’s BF Goodrich AT’s on the WK are ok they have around 5mm / 6mm of tread but
whilst I can possibly afford it I might change them for new ones as the Jeep is a keeper and Nat and Georgia are in it everyday.
So first off the standard size is 245 65 17 on a WK but these have been increased at some point to the above which I do like.
But I cannot seem to source much if any choice apart from the BF Goodrich in that size.
So I am going to have to drop down to 245 / 70 17 unless you can recommend another size that will give the same rolling radius as the currents.
Choices are:
Yokohama Geolander AT-S (£146.56 each)
Toyo Open Country AT (£129.17 each)
Bridgestone Dueler HT (£155.33 each)
General Grabber AT (£160.49 each)
I had Grabber AT’s on the WJ and they are now on SBD’s Commander and I did like them but they are the most expensive of the above.
You thoughts and suggestions please before I order from BlackCircles.

I can get the Geolanders in 255/70R17.
What do you think re the size?
-
Get something like this:

Lift you higher = better visibility = better safety for Nat and Georgia :icon_winkle: :003:

I have been told in no uncertain terms I am not "DICKING" about with the WK.
-
I get told similar about the WK, no ruining it and taking it offroad (just don't mention Turkey Hunt :icon_winkle:).
I though 245/75/17 might be a bit of a big jump so interesting to see that's what you've got on now. I was looking for some ATs as well recently and though the Toyo AT looked good and was a good price. General Grabbers are a very good tire though, it's just if you want to spend the £120 extra for them.
Do you want some Jaffa Cakes for the BFGs?
-
Seems there could be a fight on for the BFG's lol.
A certain gentleman from over the sea's expressed interest before I knew I was thinking of changing lol.
Not sure if I can get the Grabbers in 255/70/17 the Geolanders do come in this size though, just not sure if they will be to wide

Slightly over size tyres might need the bottom of the upper ball joint thread cutting off - or so I've read on Aus Jeep Offroad.

Currents are ok and the 255 profile are a little smaller diameter but a bit wider???
