I'm sure I remember seeing a thread somewhere that explained how to calculate tyre pressures with vehicle weight, tyre size etc etc.
I've treid seraching for it but to no avail :(
Failing that, can anyone with 31x10.5 MT's on their XJ tell me what pressures they're using?

You need to know the weight of your Jeep loaded. Sidewall of the tyre will have a rating of Max Load =x at y psi
Divide x by the weight of your Jeep, then divide by 4 to get the loading on each tyre, then multiply by y to get correct psi.

stuff all that.....
-
So do I
-
i've got mine at about 32 at the moment and usually take em down to about 20 offroad... those were guesses though, based purely on how they looked to be deforming!
-
I run mine at 33psi.
Again, t'was a bit of a guestimate though.
-
Used to run at 33 but found them a bit bumpy. 30 is about right.

Here's one of the many threads on JeepClub which gives the formula - http://http://www.jeepclub.co.uk/topic.cfm?ID=3083
