Finished wiring up the electric fuel pump. Definitely an improvement over the failing mechanical pump, runs so much better, no more stumbling or hesitation. Cleaned up the battery cables at the connections to the battery terminals were loose.
Then removed the brush guard as a) it didn't fit properly, b) was attached to the front suspension mounts = not good. Finally, bolted on the headlights and surrounds and replaced missing bolts to the air dam (under the number plate) as it was hanging down and bugging me.

hmmmm maybe I need electric fuel pump :eusa_think:
Anyway, on to more important matter - headlights - surely between us all we can help you overcome poor Freddie's disability? How about a sponsored drinking session :icon_jook: :003: :icon_jook: :003: :icon_jook:
What else is need for an MOT? I know you are doing the roof etc but are you going on the road before you have done it?

Mr Bulldog
Whilst I remember about mechanical v elec stuff.......
electric flow cooler water pumps are used ........ To keep engines running cooler......
Used on 454s that I am researching and I remembered FTE Steve had one on his Mustang to stop it overheating in traffic........ So there you go. Another spendy part on your ultimate goal.......

Certainly seems to have made a difference. But then the OEM pump was fecked. S'not hard to fit a leccy fuel pump. Ideally they're supposed to be fitted on the frame rail, as close to the tank as possible, but mine is (at least for now) just so i can get Freddie moving again. Even Lighty's suggested i hold off on buying an OEM pump until i get closer to completion. If you do go shopping, you only need a 5-7 PSI pump. The 20+ psi pumps are for EFI systems and way too much for float bowls to deal with.

Transmission leaks, oil leaks, holes too close to seat belt mounts. Check brakes, UJ's, lights. Long list.
