Post by: just-boot-it on June 14, 2014, 10:03:08 PM
I'll be offering up my lpg kit soon before final fitting and as I need to move the fuel tank to drill the holes for the lpg tank how and how much manoeuvring of the fuel tank van you get away with?

If you mean .....where can I move it to or where to put it???

The answer Is...any where you want... as long as the filler is outside the passenger area.

Moved mine away from underneath.....( YJ) and have 3 gall alloy tank in rear instead......

If that is what you are asking?

No. I ment how much movement can you get from the fuel tank without disconnecting the sender unit as I want to drill the holes and re attach the fuel tank.

Arhhhhh! See what you mean.

You can unbolt tank and drop about six inches and move around.......
But you can disconnect elex under there and pull pipes.
Just remove fuse thing from under hood and start engine till it stops .....then you're safe. Otherwise you'll get 30 psi of unleaded in your face.......

Cheers, I think the first option is ok. Don't fancy a petrol bath.
