Guys, some help and knowledge please.
I am after putting a basic lift kit on my V8, and some big a$$ed wheels/tyres.
Can someone advise me what lift kit to get and the best size wheels to also get. Or do I keep my present rims and change the tyres etc?
Being a Scotsman the cheapest options best please.
 Thanks guys and gals.

				Pucks are cheapest to lift.

 4.7 v8 ain't it?

Go too tall on the tyres and you're in regear territory.

I only use her to go back and forward to work so maybe 8miles per day? Any other advice peeps?

I want her to look similar to this:
-
				thats going to cost you
puck 2" is the cheapest way to go.
you could get away with 30" or 235-70r17 tiers
-
Would my original wheels be ok just with bigger tyres? Thanks

-
I had a 3 inch iron rock lift and 31inch MUDs on the standard 17's

So guys. 2 inch pucks and without any mods to arches etc I can run on 235/70 r17s? What if I put 3 or 4 inch lift how big could I go with the wheels? Really want my whip to look different guys. Cheers. Viktor

Will try to look them out later and take some pics.

Guys looking to create something like this, any ideas sizes of lift and wheels etc? Thanks.

-
Once you start lifting too much you have to start considering pinion angle etc and as others have said it gets expensive real quick.

-
I only want the look not to actually go cross country etc. It's mainly for going camping with friends etc.

-
Doesn't really matter what you want to use it for, once you start lifting it too far your messing with the geometr andy you have to compensate and that gets expensive.

-
Okidoki, I have PMd you for advice. Cheers.

3inch is max I would recommend, I did 3inch and only had I change shocks, springs, drop links and A frame spacer. Jedi (now darth landy) went higher and there was a lot more involved and also a lot more expense. S

And with that kit what would be the biggest tyres I could run using my original 17 inch alloys? Thanks Jay. Viktor

31s, or your in regear territory. :) remember to check your speedo reading with a satnav.
Standard size wheels/tyres speedo reads around 5mph slow, 29s = correct speed, 31s = SLOWER than your actually at (I think, around 5mph. Haven't got round to checking mine yet)
Best to avoid £60 and 3 points for the sake of a quick check.
