My CJ-5 is 1978 and LHD.
I'm converting to RHD.
I've been toying with the idea of alternative axles (Land Rover !) but am going to have a final look if it's feasble to use what i already have.
Rather than source a left hand steering arm (I've been told that would be difficult / expensive and I have a very tight budget) one option is to use the tie / track rod end off an earlier model such as this -

Problem is that as far as I can see they are only made to fit the right hand side so if used on the left then it puts the link from a RHD steering box behind and thus not suitable as it would then foul other items.
Anyone ever come across the same sort of tie / track rod end but the opposite side to that fitted to LHD Jeeps ?
Thanks.
Paul Humphries.

If yours is anything like my XJ (LHD, using a RHD front axle) you'd have an easier time finding a correct RHD axle and steering components and swapping the whole axle out.
