Post by: dodgyjeep on May 02, 2006, 08:41:50 PM
Alright yow lot

Got my husky mats winging there way over from the good ole u s of a and are getting ready to take the tj out for the first time since i bought her

just a few questions

where do you lot keep your hi lift as i have tried in the "boot" and it aint gonna fit

and also where have you mounted your cb, i cannot mount it on top of the dash because i have my locker switches mounted there

There is mounting kit on e bay but it requires a support bar running from one side of the roll bar to the other which i do not seem to have!!should I???

cheers in advance

mark :)

I tried the hi lift everywhere and went for fitting it on the bonnet like others have only i used modified 4x rac brackets.. (pic in album)
I know some folks have strapped theirs to the roll bars in the rear... 8)

Hope thats of some use  :D

Cheers
they were from Mountain Jacks who have since sold up and gone on to pastures new.

There are some similar at 4wd and Qtech i think they are Olympic rock rails..  :D

Believe they were MJ custom jobs.....

Olympics do a good job check out 4wd or Quadratec to source them

Think Ponyracer and possibly Mik may also be able to offer something?

Dodgy

I have mine across my rear bars, you can see it in some of the photos here http://www.jeepclub.co.uk/reports.cfm?id=287 (http://www.jeepclub.co.uk/reports.cfm?id=287) green TJ with yellow advertising down the bonnet.  I just got 4 exhaust U bolts that fitted round the sports bar and 2 lenghts of square steel tubing across the gap.  Then bolted the 4xRac mounts to the tubing.

Must admit to being tempted by the bonnet mounting kits though.
