Rear bumper from Phat Phux - ordered
Safari snorkel - ordered
Skid Plates - Got from that kindly chap KD
Disco's - top of my list now after seeing JamesH's cherry on Sunday...
A front bumper, Phat Phux or maybe Warn. Anyone got a Warn rockcrawler? What do you reckon to them? Seem kinda dear...
I'd like a roof rack of some description to get the spare out of the boot. Any recommendations?
It's gonna be an expensive month... :o
-
i would add a full length engine skid to your list too.........
you got the steering & a transfer case protected.......but the engine & gearbox sumps are still vulnerable! & a fuel tank skid..........
-
I feel a sales pitch coming on... You got any mate?
-
only the one i got on mine!!! & you aint having that!!!
tis a rustys product!

160 bucks eh? that's not bad... I presume it's a staright fit with no fooking about?
-
it looks to be easy enough.......have to admit that mine is still on the workshop floor due to lack of time.........will be fitted very soon tho!!!
-
A phat phux front winch bumper may soon be on the cards. Just got to find the time to get Barbie over there to make the prototype.
-
Good-oh, i've already spoken to greggmo about it - i'm put off by the £1200 for the warn bumper
-
IMHO Warn stuff is over priced, nice, but over priced. The little W's are cute, but they don't warrant that price tag.
Have a really good look round the US sites, see what other folks have got on.
-
yeh but who wants Wanker on the back of ther jeep that is what it stands for int it

Be careful if you order a full length engine skid - had a Rusty's one on my XJ (3.5" lift etc) and kept wiping out the front prop grease nipple on full articulation. Everything needs to be lined up examply right if you want to avoid this (or do what I did and take the bleed nipple out, fit a bolt instead and just swap em when you need to grease-up). Just a thought...
-
Mine does that too, need to trim a bit out for clearence.
-
Got the steering guard on, discos and snorkel have arrived now.
Also ordered some warn diff guards.

That front bumper looks fooking ace. I'm tempted...
-
gonna be cool as lefty. Discos?? whats that??
still comin down on the 4th?
-
Disco's = disconnects.
Snorkel fitted last week by my friendly local mechanic cos i chickened out of attempting it myself...
I fitted the steering guard and transfer case skid, put the diff guards on and cut the sway bar off at long last... Hopefully i'll get the discos on at the weekend and Robert's Your Fathers Brother...

We've been struggling to find a time to get mine over to the workshop to make the prototype, but watch this space there should be some progress soon.
-
No tearing rush mate, i'm only pulling yer leg.
Cash is waiting though and the warn front bumper is looking more attractive every day :D
-
Try to hold on to that cash, cos at the moment we're looking at a Hanson stylie dropped winch plate design, which will be at least half the price of a Warn jobbie.

half the price of a Warn jobbie
the magic words

It might be worth giving KD a shout about the towbar. He may have one knocking around.
