Hi all.
Happy new year to you, one and all :icon_winkle:
I had the rear wiper fail on my 2005 Grand Cherokee (WK)? and I bought a good used motor and replaced it. I now have a working motor but...... The drive shaft that pokes out of the tailgate is about half the diameter of the original one and instead of being a circular grippy fitting it is a tapered spline fitting.
So my question to you all is: How do I resolve this problem? Do I need to get a new wiper arm? If so any suggestions of where to get it?
Thanks in advance

Happy New Year to you as well. Is there a chance that the supplier of the motor might have the original arm?
-
Unfortunately not, I asked him straight away. :(

I expected that you would have done that already, so please don't think I was being cheeky.

No I don't, thanks for the input.... Sometimes it is easy to overlook the obvious ;)
There are some websites where I would have received lots of "Advice", not always what you need and always from keyboard warriors that are living on thin ice.....
Thanks again :)

You're welcome mate. :icon_winkle:

Next question would be, what model/year did the motor come from. Then you'll know what arm you need. :)
-
The reply I got was that it is from a 2008 WK Grand Cherokee

That 'should' be the arm your after then. Anyone got an 08 wk that can confirm a taper spline arm fitting on the rear wiper ? :)
Or pay the local stealers a visit and have a sneaky look. :)
