Hi guys, need some help please, I have a grand Cherokee WJ year 2000. I can't find my keys and think I have left them in the jeep, is there any way I can get in to check before getting someone out to sort new keys and remote. Thanks in advance

Ahh yes, the universal tool can solve any problem
-
pry the door top open slightly and use a length of wire to pull the internal handle.
Worked on my ZJ.
-
try a wire down between door and glass, pull levers? - works XJ

I have a WJ but never needed to get into it before without the keys, for interests sake, would you mind posting how you got on and if it works, how you did it?

Got an auto locksmith coming in the morning to open the vehicle £75. Let's just hope the keys are inside or it will cost a lot more , will post how things go .

Brute force to pull the top of the door open and then put something in to hold it open, slide a thin strong rod in an press unlock button if you have one or try something with a hook to pull handle. Worked on my WK and is basically what the locksmith will do.

:icon_super: :icon_super: Might be a good idea to get another set cut and programmed...and I don't say that with a smirk on my face. I've done that with every car I've owned...and it's saved me a red face, more than a few times!

Glad you got it sorted without to much headache.

I thought there was a way in via the boot on the wj same as the zj.
