Hi all, I got the ZJ last night, so now I need to fix the problems that she has - hopefully nothing major :)
First - the indicators don't flash, they are either "on" or "off". I assume the relay/module is knackered. Can anyone confirm and tell me what I need to look for to replace it with? I tried looking for indicator module and indicator relay on evilbay, but no luck.
Second - Rear wiper is dead, not had chance to inspect it yet, but how hard is it to replace the motor unit? (if it is indeed that at fault)
Third - "service engine" notification needs to be reset somehow; please tell me how :)
I'm sure there will be other things as I come across them, but that's it for now!

Awww, someone must know about these things?
Also need to replace the O/S wing mirror
-
Fuses down near feet and more stuff in side wall near right foot.
Had to crawl in here to sort door module wiring that goes up through door jam.
All these elex are just where you don't want them if you go wading :icon_twisted:

I've had a couple from breakers in the past. Seem to be quite plentiful.

Hope you have better luck than me with my KJ...the manual fold ones were everywhere (even Devon 4x4 had them)....the auto fold ones were not so common, and bloody expensive at around 120 quid, from a breaker. My advice is...check every wire feed to the faulty mirror, very carefully, before you take the plunge. Just for info...the manual fold, electrically adjustable, heated version of the KJ mirror assy (complete unit, which took ten minutes to change over), cost me about 35 quid, brand new, from Devon and from Jeepey.
Hope that helps you somewhat.

It's the glass that needs replacing, not the unit - that seems to be working fine at the moment :)
First job I want to get done though is the indicators...

OK, I'm with you now. Heaps of different sellers on Ebay have them.

Completely from the hip, but have you changed/checked the hazard switch?

I don't think so - will this effect the indicators if it is broken then?

If you have a spare worth a quick change just to see if it's that - go for the easy things first....

have you a wiring diagram to identify the correct loom and wiring while you slowly diagnose a solution

Nope - I have no information so far on these issues
