Title: Grand Cherokee WJ

Hi guys 

I have just bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited WJ, it has the 4.7 V8 engine and Quadra Drive, how can I tell what gearbox, transfer case, front and rear axles I have on it, i want to change the fluids and need to know how to identify the above items.

Congrats on the WJ!  Have you come across www.wjjeeps.com?  If not, its a great place to start with information and usually has part numbers for everything (except the 2.7CRD which they dont have stuff on).  I think one of the stickies on here has information on fluids as well (but haven't checked so might have just made that up).

It has a 545RFE gearbox, 247 transfer case, Dana 44 rear with Vari-loc and Dana 30 front with Vari-loc.
