Title: Beneath Cowling on a 2006 TJ

Hi folks,
Quick question - what's located roughly central under the cowl on an 06 TJ and does it look like ours is missing anything?!

(The black "slot" on the LHS of the picture under the wiper motor...)

Perfect - cos it certainly lets water out and isn't sealed around it...

dumps it into the engine bay or via a tube to the transmission tunnel.

And if you ever have water dripping into your front footwells ( usually the drivers side ) it will likely be because the slit is blocked ....

We had a load dripping into the passenger footwell hence pulling the cowl off! We think it was coming through the large, plastic vent on the passenger side that has a plastic hood over it. The foam around those isn't in great condition. They're now liberally covered with sealant so we'll see whether or not that's worked...
