ZJ noise....
Bro in law just dropped by with the ZJ 96 that used to be mine......still going..... :icon_twisted:
But when you blip throttle to 1500 and then lift of there is a noise like slipping belt.....but it is not that......
It's not in the engine either seems to be coming from flex plate torque converter area.......fine in normal use just annoying when lifting off.......
Before I start looking at gearboxes anyone got any ideas???

check the auto box fluid level or the fluid may need changing

Years ago I had a nice xj that made a funny squeaky noise when pressing the accelerator! After tightening the torque converter to flex plate bolts that were slack it stopped

Fluid change along with the filter gonna be the easiest to try first Jez :icon_winkle:

This - Shaggy had similar on his ZJ when he owned one.
