Took advantage of our load cell at work and did the corner weights of my wrangler, it' on 33's, has a winch and winch bumper and it came out at 1758kg, sounds a bit much to me, anyone else weighed theirs?
-
Sound light to me, I know a lot of modded ones are over 2000kg
-
God knows what mine weigHs???? :hysterical: :hysterical:

but you have got rid of most of those weighty panels
-
I managed to get mine weighed at work, and it came in at 1.9T with the recovery gear on board (but no driver).
-
Taking a punt.....and with half an eye on the weight stats of the Pirate builds I reckon mine would be nearer 2,400kg.
Even though I threw away all the homely bits like roof doors and tailgate.... Oh.....and seats.....
I then lobbed a couple of heavy assed axles and armour and 2 winches and some 40's under it....
Topped it off with a jungle gym of a rollcage and I guess it's easy to build a 'fat boy' :icon_super:
-
From all this then I guess mine is OK, and I guess it's only getting heavier. I weighed it as I'm planning on fitting coilovers and wanted to get the correct weight springs.
-
if you want to get technical then weigh on a flat surface with the driver sitting in the car for all measurments
-
I did it on a flat surface, well other wheels at the same height as the one on the load cell, i didn't have a driver in though.

my xj weighs 2,200 kg fully kitted to offroad, nicely balanced at 1,100kg per axle.
-
I'm actually building another wrangler and just weighed this one to get an idea. I like the fact your xj is equally balanced, not sure if it's important but it seems like a good idea.

I hope so :hysterical:
The door tag says 3.5 tons so I guess I'm OK. ,just a difference between Yankee tons and metric tonnes :icon_super:
Being the Cummins diesel is tows my heavy junk to CF at 17mpg and local with raindrops at 21/22
Better than the GC that I burst before :hysterical:
-
mine was 2150kg full tank of fuel, spare on the back, 2 twinmotor winches, waffle boards..........then i got out! :003:

That's good, my JK doesn't achieve that when I'm towing and its under 20 mpg when I'm not..
-
i get 17/19 mpg towing with my 6.2
