Title: Alternative to SYE

Folks whats your thoughts on this?  I guess not as strong as an SYE set up but cheaper and easier install though.

Besides vibration I have seen several break at the transfer case end. Either the shaft or slip yoke failed letting the slippery stuff leak out.

 :iagree: back end of your 231 is now the weak link and WILL leak if things get exciting!

the majority of XJ owners would love to get rid of this output shaft det up and change to a sliding prop shaft stylee
