Has anyone brought parts out of the US using this duty payment system?

Did anyone get stung for additional charges?

Thinking of purchasing something via this method but don't want to end up paying through the nose once it arrives.

I've had a lot of stuff shipped from US using both i-parcels and ebay global shipping. Both are cheaper than traditional carriers, both reasonably quick, both with no extra charges.
