Hey all
I'm going to change the oil in my transfer case on a WJ GC 2.7CRD. Its got the NV247 case, for which im struggling to find the right oil. I've read the lubricant guide, and talked to Jeep about the right oil. Their response was that they cant get the Mopar stuff anymore, and its now recommended to use Tudela PowerGear 4 which they said is 80w. They also said (and the parts guy talked a tech to confirm) that it shouldnt have any friction additive in there, but from what ive read online is that the transfer case can chatter without the lsd additive.
Can anyone tell me for sure what oil I should put in there, and if it needs the lsd additive?
Cheers

You can use Mobilfluid 424, it's for tractors, we used to buy it in bulk at the dealership instead of 247 fluid.

Limited Slip Diff additive is for Axles only, not to be used in transfer cases or auto boxes.

Any industrial or agricultural oil supplier, but it comes in 20L drums. Call JSF 4x4 in Manningtree, they will be able to supply an alternative in litre packs.
