mmore says the holes 12mm diametre...Hella bolts are 8mm
That would make a plan come together and make my front winch bumper scheme much easier
-
I'd tent to agree with the ~12mm width... just enjoy wiring them up.... and find the two hidden screws where you have to remove the rubber at the back of the bonnet... :)

The project moves on.......

Have you done it ???? Post pics :)

I changed a hole wind screen and surround from one 97 Tj to another and had no problems with the Torx bolts!
-
oops, I missed that bit... I bought a socket set of torx bits from 4wd... use the impact driver the loosen them and they came out dead easy.... Oh, and a nice big hammer.....

How did it go Stew....

Good
Fitting the brackets went much better than I expected
Got an auto electrician in to move them after I'd taken the cowl off as you advised
He was actually from the place that fitted the lights.. He wired them up past the battery for the relay near the N/S front head lamp and then drilled a hole in the front bulkhead (below the rubber strip) and ran the wiring through there to the lights
Then I put the wiring behind the windscreen hinges to re-fit the cowl and moved the lights to the front of the brackets in order that the aeriel wasn't bent
Just got to align them now
