I'm rebuilding my dana 60 front axle, i'm after a little help. When i took the diff out there were some large o rings between the carrier bearings and the diff case. They were totally shot so I foolishly binned them thinking they would be part of the rebuild kit. They aren't and I can't seem to find them anywhere, can anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks, Ian

Maybe it's just a bead of sealant that was used to seal the axle tubes when it was built. I'll see if I can find a pic showing what I mean.
Here's a pic from my D44 rebuild.

done a lot of Dana 60 axles never seen any o rings when pulling in the tubes use plenty of sealer acts as a lube helps tube go in leaves a ring of sealant on the inside of the housing

Do you mean the shims?

No not shins mike, actual o rings that were between the diff carrier bearings and the axle tube inside face. They were in my b30 front axle as well. I think i'll just silicone up the holes that are there, i can't see any other reason they were there but to stop gear oil entering the open area where the tubes are pressed in.
